1051 is an active squadron located just outside of Dartford Town Centre.

Last week, 4 cadets got the opportunity to take to the skies in a RAF Grob Tutor thanks to 6 AEF at RAF Benson! NCO Selection Course! Yesterday, four lucky cadets got the opportunity to go gliding at RAF Kenley. Remembrance Parade 2024 Today, the squadron attended Wilmington Memorial Church to commemorate the 84th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. On Monday, we held a photography and videography course at the squadron - a new skills course that we have introduced, with cadets starting with the basics of photography, and progressing to sports, night and studio photography. Capel Curig 2024! This past weekend, cadets from #team1051 joined their cadets from Kent Wing at the Royal International Air Tattoo. Last week, 6 of our cadets got the lucky opportunity to head over to RAF Brize Norton joined by other cadets from Kent wing, where they spent the day with 99 Squadron.

Tonight, our cadets had the very lucky opportunity to view a live hot air balloon demonstration, where they were given the chance to get up close to the balloon, and learn about how they operate and fly! What an amazing day for 4 of our cadets who got the lucky opportunity to go up in a glider at RAF Kenley today. Yesterday, we held a Blue Radio and Cyber Awareness Course, where the cadets learnt the competence to use a radio for basic communication and small exercise around squadron.
