Cadets from across Kent were among the first to get back up in the air this week!
Meeting at 622 Volunteer Gliding Squadron on Tuesday 1st June, cadets from 40F (Maidstone), 402 (Gravesend), 593 (Swanley), 1039 (Gillingham), and 1404 (Chatham) had the chance to fly in our Viking T1 Glider at Upavon Airfield and all gained their Blue Wings in the process!

The day was not without it’s disruptions though, as Air Transport Fleet from RAF Brize Norton performed low level cargo drop training close by with a Hercules C130.
