Walking for Remembrance

FS Cloke of 354 (Dover) Squadron walking from Dover to Deal with her brother and border collie

Today marks the start of the Royal British Legion’s annual poppy appeal which raises ~£50 million every year.

Due to the ongoing restrictions, you won’t see many poppy sellers out and about and instead the legion is asking the Great British public to help out by making a donation and printing out their own Poppy posters or take part in the “Move to Remember” campaign.

Our very own Flight Sergeant Rachelle Cloke, of 354 (Dover) Squadron, will be walking from Dover to Deal as her challenge for the Poppy appeal, covering a distance of 11 miles in commemoration of 11th November. FS Cloke will be joined by her brother Nathan, the chairman of the Squadron Committee, and honorary Cadet Kai, their border collie. Starting from Western Heights, they will be following the white cliffs North East to Deal.

Donations are being collected via JustGiving so please do support them in their endeavour!
