As we all start settling in to our “Stay-at-home” street parties, we all have a chance to look back over everything that has happened in the Wing today!

Of course today was VE Day, the day when peace was declared across europe after years of war. Specifically Friday 8th May is the 75th anniversary of the occasion.

This bank holiday weekend gives us, as well as all our friends around the country and the world, a chance to reflect on the enormous sacrifice, courage and determination of those who lived through World War Two. We also have the opportunity to compare the horror of the past to our present; a present in which we are encouraged to stay at home, avoid contact with those not in our own household, and all non-essential business has closed.

Around the Wing our squadrons and cadets were truely embracing the celebration and remembrance with everyone vusy and active despite the current restrictions.
