Have you got a passion for sailing? Are you interested in flying? Do you have a desire to be the best in the field?
Over Kent Cadet Week, Air, Army and Sea cadet forces across the county will be looking for new adult helpers. They need people like you, with interests, hobbies and skills – and a bit of free time of their hands.
Adult helpers can get involved in sailing, flying, radio communications, adventure training, first aid, music, field craft, leadership training, Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, and all kinds of sporting activities.
Kent Cadet Week takes place from Saturday 25th October to Friday, 31st October. It is the UK’s only campaign to celebrate the history, heritage, achievements and ambitions of the county’s cadet forces.
It will bring together members the Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in a bid to recruit adult helpers and raise awareness of Kent’s cadet forces.
To kick-start the week of open evenings and demonstrations, the cadets will be hold demonstrations in their town centres and high streets on Saturday, 25th October.
Kent Cadet Week is being organised by Canterbury College with the support of Kent County Council, Kent’s Heart FM and SERFCA (South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association).
Its origins are connected to Canterbury College’s Armed Forces Community Covenant. The Covenant is an agreement between the College, its partners and local Armed Forces to work more closely together to benefit each other and the community.
