Air Cadets Raise Money For Sport Relief 2014

On Sunday 23rd March 14 cadets from 359 (Bexleyheath) and four cadets from 358 (Welling) Squadron’s joined other members of the community to participate in the Sainsbury’s Sports Relief event ‘The Mile’ which was held within Bexley borough’s Danson Park.

Between the 18 cadets and two members of staff who took part, an estimate of £300 has been raised.

“The sports relief run was a fantastic chance to raise money for such a good cause. Seeing a great effort from those who took part was a real bonus and definitely a highlight of the day. Every cadet had a smile on their face as they completed the run which showed how pleased they were to have” said Cadet Sergeant Chris Flynn, aged 16, of 359 (Bexleyheath) Squadron.

Not only did all of the cadets complete the challenge but the first 7 people to finish the three mile run were all Air Cadets!
